Constant

Constant. This word describes my nausea. I am nauseous every waking moment. It has been miserable. It never goes away. Even when I get up multiple times during the night to go to the bathroom its still there. If I think about it too much I will start to cry because I feel awful. I am extremely exhausted and have been going to bed so early every night. Sweet Evan lays down next to me to watch TV and I am out within the first 10 minutes of the show.

With Audrey my nausea was in the morning and by about noon I would feel better and did not start till around 7-8 weeks. Not with this baby… its all the time. Audrey has laid in our bed lots lately so mommy can rest. We’ve watched many episodes of “Jack’s Big Music Show” :)

Oh, and the smells… oh. my. word. I swear it was never this bad with Audrey. Every room I go into stinks. I keep telling my husband.. “Something smells”… and Audrey’s diapers.. wow.

If I didn’t know any better I would say it was twins. Everything I have read says exaggerated symptoms are telling signs of twins. :) Twins would be amazing!

It also could just be a boy?! – I had my first boy dream 2 nights ago. When I was pregnant with Audrey I had 5 girl dreams!… Thursday can not come soon enough!! I can’t wait to hear this precious baby’s heartbeat. Although the first trimester is always rough, nothing out weighs the precious joy and blessing of a child; that I already love so much.

Please leave any suggestions you have to help with the nausea. My Dr. said to take Benadryl which did nothing. Anything else? Any foods that help? I’ve been enjoying Popsicles.

Thank you for all your sweet comments! I’m so glad to know we have readers!!

Honey, I don't have any suggestions for just nausea, but I was on medicine my entire pregnancy because my nausea was never just that. I was SICK constantly off of my medicine and couldn't function!! The medicine is called Ondansetron and it TRULY saved me! I know you may not want to take medicine, but it's an AWESOME drug! And, the best part is, you don't have to swallow it, you just let it dissolve under your tongue, so there's no worry of losing it if you DO get sick. It works well and has VERY few side effects. Other than that, just eating small snacks CONSTANTLY...that's all I've got!! Good luck and blessings on the new baby!

Here are some suggestions:

Sea Bands- nausea wrist band things from a drug store

Ginger chews, ginger tea or Ginger Ale

Ice Water through a straw

Saltines, pretzels, Goldfish or whatever snacks that are easy on the stomach

Meds doctor gave me: Zofran (Ondansetron) for days, Phenergan (promethazine) to knock you out at night

nothing REALLY helped.. but these might have aided a little bit

Sorry you feel so bad! Hopefully it will get better really soon.

I am sorry you are so sick. My sister-in-law had twins and she said she was so sick! She is pregnant again and is just as sick, but is only having one, a boy. You will have to let us know what the Dr. says when you go! :)

I had horrible morning sickness with Brylee. I ended up in bed for days and couldn't move bc I was soo weak and couldnt keep even water down. Eric was ready to drag me to the hospital for IV fluids. I lost alot of weight at first due to it! Oh girl, I am praying for you!! Those days are no fun!! I agree with Bethany. Anything with ginger. I ended up take ginger tablets and around 15 weeks it drifted off. The toilet and I were too close of friends...Also seabands. Eric did alot of accupuncture on me to which seemed to make the most difference...hang in there!! thinking of you!!!

My aunts all swear by ginger ale, candies, and teas to fight the nausea. I'm with you on the twins or boy part. Again, from my aunts, when they felt completely different or their 'symptoms' were stronger, they had twins or the opposite gender of their first baby! It'll be interesting to see what you're having, although it'll be a blessing no matter what I'm sure of it!! :)
