Pregnancy Weight Gain

With this pregnancy my attitude on weight gain has been completely different. After gaining 60+ pounds with Audrey. I am watching every bite I eat and attending Jazzercise classes 3-4 times a week. I am down two pounds from my first appointment (possibly more, have not weighed). My goal for this pregnancy is to gain 10-20 pounds or less. When I configure online the healthy amount I should gain this is where it puts me. I am following the Weight Watchers points system. If at the end of the day I am still hungry, I definitely eat! But, this time instead of running to get a cheeseburger and french fries, I sauté zucchini or eat a skinny cow ice cream and deduct from my “extra” points for the week.  I already feel sooo much better and the healthier eating has helped me not to get “sick” during this pregnancy and has helped keep the nausea down along with the help of Zofran also (Thank you Bethany).

A blog friend posted a website on your blog called Skinny Taste. The recipes are amazing. I have already made the Crock Pot Chicken Chili and The Zucchini Casserole. I highly recommend both! If you have any healthy eating suggestions or sites please pass them on.

Here is a picture of me 7 months pregnant with Audrey. I don’t even recognize myself. I was soo swollen! And my poor nose was huge! yuck! Just more motivation to keep on doing what I’m doing!

Audrey’s First Birthday!

I made the mistake of not taking any pictures myself and just relying on others. My best friend got some of the best, but I should have taken some detail shots of the decor. Oh, well… I will know next time! Only I knew what I wanted!---Such as a family picture of all 3 of us! I can’t believe we never got one!!

We had a great time! Wth every ones help the party went so smoothly! I wasn’t stressed during a bit!

setup

We (Sandra and I) draped satin off white fabric across the back wall. We decorated it with rhinestones, but you cannot tell in these pictures. We sprayed flower pots silver and put black gloss painted branches inside. The stuffing at the bottom was reindeer moss. We hung jewels and ornaments from branches.

Dr. Appt #1!

Our doctors appointment went well today! The baby’s heartbeat was 142 (less that Audrey’s first appt at 160) and everything looked good!

We opted for the down syndrome screening and genetic testing that comes with an extra ultra sound at 13 weeks. My Dr. does not do this sonogram in her office, she sends you to another area in the hospital for this ultrasound. She said the technician who does it is telling all of her patients what they are having at 13 weeks! My Dr. said at first she was very weary of this, but that the technician has not been wrong with any of her patients. I am thrilled! We will possibly know what we are having in 5 weeks!!

With Audrey we had the same ultrasound performed and the technician said she didn’t “see anything”. I should have trusted her and knew then it was a girl.  Because 7 weeks later we found out we were having Audrey!!

I will post a picture soon! Off to clean clean clean! All of our family and friends are driving in tomorrow! It is going to be a BIG weekend!

These two branches are spray painted glossy black and will be framing the “A”. We will be getting the tables for this room on Friday. There are pink ornaments and clear crystals hanging from the branches with reindeer moss as a filler in the pot.

This will be the main center piece on the food table along with a black table cloth and cut at “a"’s scattered across the table. The filler in these jars are watermelon sour candies!! IMG_2750

Constant

Constant. This word describes my nausea. I am nauseous every waking moment. It has been miserable. It never goes away. Even when I get up multiple times during the night to go to the bathroom its still there. If I think about it too much I will start to cry because I feel awful. I am extremely exhausted and have been going to bed so early every night. Sweet Evan lays down next to me to watch TV and I am out within the first 10 minutes of the show.

With Audrey my nausea was in the morning and by about noon I would feel better and did not start till around 7-8 weeks. Not with this baby… its all the time. Audrey has laid in our bed lots lately so mommy can rest. We’ve watched many episodes of “Jack’s Big Music Show” :)

Oh, and the smells… oh. my. word. I swear it was never this bad with Audrey. Every room I go into stinks. I keep telling my husband.. “Something smells”… and Audrey’s diapers.. wow.

If I didn’t know any better I would say it was twins. Everything I have read says exaggerated symptoms are telling signs of twins. :) Twins would be amazing!

It also could just be a boy?! – I had my first boy dream 2 nights ago. When I was pregnant with Audrey I had 5 girl dreams!… Thursday can not come soon enough!! I can’t wait to hear this precious baby’s heartbeat. Although the first trimester is always rough, nothing out weighs the precious joy and blessing of a child; that I already love so much.

Please leave any suggestions you have to help with the nausea. My Dr. said to take Benadryl which did nothing. Anything else? Any foods that help? I’ve been enjoying Popsicles.

Thank you for all your sweet comments! I’m so glad to know we have readers!!
