Audrey is so girly. (which I LOVE) She always has to have her jewelry on!
Sitting outside today watching her play, I had one of those mommy moments. The kind where you feel like your life is flashing before your eyes. I just wanted to capture the simplicity of her fun today and try not to forget how much fun I had watching her. :) Thank you God for allowing me the privilege to stay home with Audrey.
Walls are painted, Baseboard is put in, Crown molding is up, Crib is here, and bedding is in place! I love it!

First Piece of Wall Decor
Frames $5 at Hobby Lobby spray painted ivory. The frames we backed with scrapbook paper. We then cut bird silhouettes from cardstock. Amazing!
This chandelier will hang above the crib backed with an amazing canopy. I’m anxious to put it up!
I loooooovvvvveee the anticipation of a new baby. I have so much fun working on the nursery, planning out outfits, and getting our home ready for a new tiny baby.
First off here are some pictures from our 20 week sonogram of Harper.
Check out those sweet feet – crossed at the ankles!
Evan and I are having a blast working on another nursery together.
Evan taping up for paint and texture
Pulled up baseboards
Texture Done. Now on to the painting!
Evan you are such a great Dad! Thank you for all your hard work!
This is the glider Harper’s great grandparents purchased. It will arrive in a solid red that matches the crib bedding perfectly!
I purchased this buffet on Craigslist for 45 dollars! It will serve as Harper’s changing table. It is completely sanded and ready to paint. I’m anxious to work on it this week!
This week we will order the crib and valences for the window!
Audrey’s great grandmother sent her this dress to wear on the fourth. So precious!
A lot has changed in one year!
July 2009
Thank you Mom and Dad for coming to visit us on the 4th!
*Those of you who are just blog readers the name we decided on is Harper Marie
I am thrilled to be designing another nursery. We will have one more room in our home decorated! I truly feel as though God used my experience with this bedding to show me that He cares about the details of our heart.
I had chosen another bedding that was bright and colorful and very different from Audrey's bedding. I liked it but I didn’t have much of a peace about buying it. After looking across the internet I discovered the majority of the sites were sold out of it. I talked to Evan to see if we could go ahead and order the bedding before our 20 week sonogram. He said he would really like to wait and I wanted to honor that though deep down I was worried about not getting the bedding I “thought” I wanted.
Two days before my scheduled sono Sandra and I went to Baby’s First Furniture. We wanted to browse while our husbands were shopping at Guitar Center. The first crib bedding we saw when we walked in the door was amazing! We both LOVED it! It was precious and seeing it in a nursery set up was even better! We kept on walking through out the store and the last crib we looked at had the bedding I was about to “buy”! I got to see it, feel it, and take it all in. It definitely wasn’t what I wanted. We walked back to the front of the store and decided the first crib bedding was it! I was thrilled and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it ever since. I don’t feel as though the pictures do it justice… but here it is!
Through this experience I really felt as though the Lord knew there was something that I would like better and He wanted to bless us with that! Thank you Lord for knowing us better than we know ourselves and being a generous Father that blesses your children abundantly!
I never posted pictures of Audrey’s finished nursery. I absolutely love it! And definitely had help from Sandra Ludy. I have added a few things over the year and still have many picture frames to fill. I definitely miss her bumpers being in her bed… but love the room none the less! (I apologize for the lighting… our house has terrible lighting for pictures)
My mom made this precious doll for Audrey… I love it! It has been requested as gifts by many of my friends!
